The most important lesson from our conversation was that I need to keep an open mind in regards with the accountancy degree I was planning to re-start. Mei Chen has made me realise that building work experience can be more valuable; there is no need to put on extra pressure on myself right now – I just started a new job and resuming my accountancy degree might be too overwhelming. It is refreshing to hear that I am not ‘a failure’ if I choose to delay or completely skip finishing off this degree.
